Introduction - Synopsis and Learning Outcomes

Course Synopsis:



The Agro-production Technology discusses the definition of agriculture, agriculture engineering, agriculture production as well as the agriculture production technology. The course also discusses about the basic agriculture practices includes the tillage process, pest control management and also the water and nutrient management. The latest crops and livestock production technology also been focused includes the cash crop, the fertigation and organic plant technology, the industrial crops technology includes the Oil Palm and Rubber tree. Finally, the course also focused on the poultry, beef cattle, dairy and aquaculture production.
Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. Describe the effects of engineering and technology towards the agricultural production.
2. Explain the cash crop technology includes the production of rice and maize and also the crop production technology such as the fertigation and organic plant.
3. Explain the industrial crop production, management and technology of Oil Palm and Rubber tree.
4. Explain the livestock production, management and technology of poultry, beef cattle, dairy and aquaculture.
